Profile - Christine M. (ChristineMM)

I am a homeschooling mother of two boys aged 6 and 9. My children have been homeschooled since birth. Although I try not to be over-scheduled, I keep quite busy with homeschooling, family, and several volunteer positions.

Our family library exceeds 6000 books. Most of the books that I buy or swap are to use for educational content to homeschool my children, or are for pleasure reading for my children for their independent reading or for family read-aloud's.

I have been a bookworm since I was a child. I used to read all fiction but since becoming a parent most of my reading is non-fiction and informational and for my own self-education on various topics. For a hobby now I am learning more about art history and am learning teaching myself art techniques by reading books. I also have two blogs, one about homeschooling, parenting and other things I want to talk about and the second is a smaller one about my art hobby. I write book reviews on Amazon under the name ChristineMM. I also have a not very filled Library Thing account under the name ChristineMM.

Other than homeschooling my major project is cataloging my books and organizing them in my home. I also LOVE bookhunting especially at used book stores and at library fundraiser book sales. I also blog for fun (see blog URL above), my blog's focus is on parenting, homeschooling and books. I love to write as well and blogging is my daily writing exercise.
